Photovoltaic solar energy is a type ofrenewable energy that produces electricity from the sun’s solar radiation .
Photovoltaic solar energy installations produce electricity, while solar thermal energy installations are used to heata fluid and provide domestic hot water and heating.
Is the consumption of electrical energy that comes from a solar installation near the house (roof or groundmounted structure). In this way it reduces the consumption energy from the network and, therefore, an important saving on the electricity bill.
Photovoltaic solar energy is produced by the use of solar radiation. Therefore, it is a free energy that you get thanks to the panels solar installed in your property.
If you generate more energy than you consume, this excess energy is poured into the network and is compensated in your electricity bill. Is called surplus compensation. This compensation of surpluses is carried out on a monthly basis, as written in RD 244/2019.
The main components of a PV installation are the photovoltaic panels, solar inverter, the structure -a medium on which the installation is mounted ,the security and the protection elements. In addition, the photovoltaic installations carried out by Ibiza SunPower have a monitoring system with which you can manage remotely, through an app on your mobile device or compute , where you can see the generation of the solar installation and the energy consumption of your property.
The installations have a utility life for over 25 years. For example, the panel manufacturers offer a 25 years panel production guarantee. Therefore, it’s an investment that will generate energy for your property during many years to come, resulting in very significant accumulated savings
You don’t need to worry about anything. At Ibiza SunPower we give you the first year of Solar Maintenance free of charge, which includes installation operation monitoring, inverter parameter monitoring, a visit of a technician to ensure that the equipment is in good conditions and management of equipment guarantees.
Most of the home insurance companies do cover damage of the panels for different causes, including meteorological. Check with your insurer to see if you can include the installation in the coverage of your current policy.
Solar panels continue working when is raining or when it is cloudy, but the energy production is reduced and they do not produce at the same rate like on the sunny days. Proof of this is that in Northern European countries such as Germany, where the weather is a lot more adverse than in Spain, the penetration of solar facilities is much higher. It is considered that in areas of northern Spain the radiation is more than enough to be able to save on your electrical bill with solar installations. South Spain has even stronger UV index and more sunny days which makes it ideal for PV installations.
No, the panels only produce energy during daytime. They start producing as it lights up in the morning until just a bit after the sunset. Peak hours are between 1:00-4:00 PM.
Your house doesn’t need any special requirements, simply that there is enough space on the roof to place the solar panels and that they receive direct solar radiation without shadows. Our technicians can visit your property and perform a technical study to validate that there is no problem and that you have the necessary conditions. We also providing you with a free technical computer simulation that includes shadow analysis and energy production for the following 25 years.
In all the installations that IbizaSunPower carries out, we pay special attention to aesthetic aspects, so tha tthe installation remains as most as integrated possible in the exterior aesthetics of the house. For example, we maintain the current inclination of the roof when anchoring the panels or even choose a low angle inclination on flat roofs for maximum discretion. Our system designer will consult with you when visiting your property and decide together with you what is the best solution.
It’s not necessary to install batteries, with the compensation of energy surpluses, you will be compensated in your electricity bill for the energy that you have left over. However, if you are interested installing a battery, you can contact us and we will analyze your consumption / production profile and recommend you the best option for your scenario.
Through the app you can monitor live the energy consumption of your property and energy production of the PV solar panels. Also, you have access to energy analytics and environment benefits that can be viewed by day, week, month or year. In addition we can install smart energy sensors and smart plugs that can give you more insights on specific consumers like: A/C machine, water pumps, lights, sockets..etc) or specific zones/areas of the house. Check with your Solar Expert when he comes to visit you and will be able to do a demo.
The ideal installation is the one that best suits your level of consumption and the available size of your roof , having in count the solar radiation of your locality.
In all regions of Spain there is enough solar radiation to power and save money with one photovoltaic system. Depending on the consumption you have and the power of the solar installation, the savings will vary. We provide you with a free solar report that will givey ou more insights of the energy production, savings and return of investmentfor the next 25 years so you will be able to make a smart decision.
If majority of the consumption is made fundamentally at night, it is possible that your savings will not be very high, although you can compensate and sell the energy that you have left over during the day. However, the majority of the Spanish population consumes most of the energy at noon and in the evening /night. This is because of the washing machines, television, other household appliances and kitchen appliances are used mainly at these hours. It is important to know that many of our customers who have installed solar panels, are already showing small changes in their daily life routines and how they are using the energy in their homes. You will become more energy-conscious and start saving from the first months.
In order to start the installation works, it’s needed to obtain the building permits from the local Town Hall. Once obtained, the installation time will be of around 1-4 working days if there are no other complications or special requirements. Execution timeline will be discussed and signed before the start of the project. Ibiza SunPower is in charge of legalizing and registering the installation in the Self-consumption register with the energy company, you don't have to worry about anything. We have you all covered.
Ibiza SunPower guarantees that each installation is done by experts. In addition, Ibiza SunPower provides you with 2 Years Installation Warranty that will cover both the installation and possiblep roblems that can arise because of it.
The installation of the photovoltaic is very simple. Ibiza SunPower performs everything with the greater safetys tandards and attention to detail to avoid and have the minimum impact in your property by fulfilling the most demanding security measures. The whole construction process is of a very short duration (usually 1-3 days) with a minimum impact in the interior of the house (main cable connections and prior electrical wiring if needed). At the end of the installation, the house will remain in perfect condition. Additionally, for the peace of your mind, all our installations have a 2 year warranty in which any problem that could arise in the time frame derived from the installation (for example, a little filtration in the roof) would be covered.
In most of the Local Town Halls exist bonuses in the IBI (tax upon Estate Real Estate ) of 30%-50% during about 3-5years, and in the ICIO ( Tax upon Constructions , Installations and Works ), for homes in which photovoltaic systems are settled. In addition, some autonomous communities offer grants within energy efficiency improvement programs, and the use of renewable energy .You can contact us and we will help you find the grants in your municipality.
At Ibiza SunPower we have our say: “Powering up the planet, one panel at the time”. We have extended experience in PV installations, with over 300MWp installed in the recent years and we are obsessed with Solar Technology and increasing innovations in PV Panel performance and durability. This dedication to all things renewable guides our commitment to helping our clients save money and reduce their environmental impact.
In general, you will only have to pay thecorresponding fees for the work permits.
Definitely no! In reality, the famous “ tax to the sun” were variable charges that were applied on self-consumed energy to customers with an electrical power contracted of over 10 kW (the vast majority of the homes have a lower contracted power). Even so, with the change in the legislation - Royal Decree 244/2019 - the variable charges have been removed for the customers with contracted power over 10kw. In addition, compensation is now allowed for surpluses of energy (you will be compensated in your electricity bill for the energy that you export to the network, so the savings generated by the PV solar will increase significantly.
In June 2019 The European Union set the objectives for the 2030 EU Renewable Energy plan, establishing a target of 32% PV solar market penetration, applicable to all Eurozone countries. Even more, the European Organisms has limited expressly the possibility of issuance of new " Sun Taxes " establishing the righ tof citizens, local authorities, small and medium companies and cooperatives to produce, consume, store and sell their own renewable energy, without being subject to rates, contributing certainty to the security of all users.
